This Rapid Box Switch / Beauty Dish Switch Insert for Bowens Flash Heads is one of thirteen all-metal inserts available for different brands of flash heads. Instead of using a full dedicated speedring, this insert slides quickly into your Switch's rear tabs and secures in place with the Switch's thumb lock.

what mount do I use for Westcott 400 with westcott rapid box octo?

The Westcott FJ 400's take a standard Bowens mount. The Rapid Box Octa may be more of a problem. If the octabox is a Westcott Rapid Switch Octa, then the speedring for it is included in the purchase of the FJ 400. If the octabox is one made specifically for speedlights, then I'm not sure how to modify it to work with the 400. If you do have the speedlight version, then my suggestion would be to contact the support people at Westcott, they are very helpful and pleasant to work with. I hope this helps.

No it will not work on the FJ200, Westcott is working on an adapter to make it fit. Will be available soon.

The inserts will only work on the compatible Rapid Box Switch models. If your Rapid Box has the speedlite permanently built into the softbox, it is not compatible. For further assistance with this, please call Westcott Customer Service at 800-886-1689

The Rapid Box Duo has a fixed insert for two speedlite style lights. This will work on any Rapid Box Switch model. The Bowens Insert is the appropriate mount for the AD600

No, the Westcott Rapid Box Switch / Beauty Dish Switch Insert for Bowens Flash Heads is not compatible for use with the Bowens Quick Ring with Swivel (MFR # BW-31100). The Westcott Rapid Box Switch / Beauty Dish Switch Insert for Bowens Flash Heads is only compatible for use with Wesctott Rapid Box products.
