Versatile mounts for a variety of purposes. I use this on my video cameras to attach small lights and external monitors. These are well constructed and come with extra 1/4 screws in case you want to take off the shoe mount and attach these to a cage.

When used with a Neewer 7 inch monitor on my Sony a6400 hot shoe, these are a little wobbly due to an awkward tightening design. Otherwise well made like other SmallRig products.

What are the Allen wrenches for?
The Allen wrench fits into the back of the 1/4"-20 Allen set Screws that came with the cold shoe mount ball head. The cold shoe can be removed and the Allen set screw is then screwed into the Ball head base.
Then the ball head can be mounted onto a Rack or clamp that does not have a cold shoe but does have a threaded 1/4"-20 hole.

Yes, the Load capacity is 6.6 lbs. and the SmallRig Camera Hot Shoe Mount with 1/4"-20 Screw Ball Head would work with the R10 shoe. However, if you are looking to mount a Monitor a better choice would be the model listed below:
