I bought this to replace another M to Z adapter that was awkward to use because infinity focus landed at about 14 feet on the focus scale. This made hyperfocal, zone, and tab focus impractical. This adapter still focuses a bit past infinity but it's close enough that the focus scale can be used effectively and the tab position on lenses like the 35mm Summicron lands in the right place.

The Kipon lens mount adapter for Leica M-Mount lens to Nikon Z-Mount cameras is a fully manual adapter. It has no electrical contacts on either side and does not transmit EXIF data to your Z-mount camera.
