Impact 40" C-Stand with Turtle Base and Grip Arm Kit (40", Chrome)

The 40" C-Stand with Turtle Base and Grip Arm Kit from Impact is an industry-standard go-to lighting accessory used on practically every photo, video, and film set. The stand features steel and aluminum construction for strength, and it lives up to the name "century stand" for its durability and because it has at least a hundred different uses. The stand is made to industry-standard size, so it will perfectly fit on grip trucks or C-stand racks and carts. When combined with the 2.5" grip head and 40" grip arm, there's no better tool for supporting light fixtures, a wide variety of grip gear, and light-modifying gobos.

The removable turtle base features a junior 1-1/8" junior receiver that allows the riser to be removed and exchanged for a different-size riser or a stand adapter for low-angle shooting. Impact's unique quick release leg lock collar simplifies opening and closing the legs for rapid deployment and breakdown. Other unique features like hexagonal brake castings, welded legs, and custom locking knobs give these C-stands a classic, sleek, and streamlined look.

Industry-Standard Size
This 40" C-stand is designed to perfectly fit grip trucks or C-stand racks and carts. The legs are standard-sized to allow close nesting with comparable C-stands when several stands need to be deployed in a tight space.
Spring-Loaded Leg Lock
The spring-loaded leg locking collar allows for fast and easy deployment and breakdown with no twisting, turning, or wrestling with the legs. Once the locking collar is released, gravity takes over, and the legs simply fall into place in seconds.
Removable Turtle Base
The Turtle base allows the main riser to be detached for easy transportation when space for your gear is limited. Also, the turtle base incorporates a 1-1/8" junior receiver for when a light fixture or accessory needs to be mounted close to the ground.
Custom T-Handles
The C-stand's locking handles are designed with classic Hollywood in mind, but don't let the stylish look fool you. These large, ergonomic handles fit your hand, are easy to grip, and offer maximum torque for securing those valuable payloads.
5/8" Knurled Baby Pin
The simplest design advantage can save time and effort, especially if you've ever experienced a horizontally mounted light slipping out of position due to a poor grip on a smooth pin. The top baby pin is knurled for superior hold. Set your lights once, and they won't slip out of position.
2.5" Grip Head
The 2.5" grip head provides a 5/8" hole for grip arms and other baby-pin attachments, a 3/8" hole for gobos, and a 1/8" hole for securing the thin wires used for rigging accessories with metal wire. Beefy aluminum construction and a steel central bolt can secure light fixtures or other accessories, like booms, plus small butterfly and overhead frames.
40" Grip Arm
A staple on any film, video, or photo set, the included 40" grip arm is made of sturdy steel and engineered to securely hold most lights, light modifiers, and grip gear. The 40" grip arm features a hexagonal 5/8" baby pin tip and is ideal for rigging a moderately heavy light directly over the camera lens or hanging an accent or hair light above your subject.

Impact BHE-104 Camera Platform for Flex Arm

The Impact BHE-104 Camera Platform for Flex Arm supports lightweight cameras when used on equipment such as the Impact Flex Arm or a similar accessory. The platform features a captive, sliding 1/4"-20 camera screw and a nonslip surface. There are two 5/8" receivers for the arm or a stud.

Impact 6" Baby Pin with Collar 1/4 and 3/8" Tap

The Impact 6" Baby Pin with Collar 1/4 and 3/8" Tap is a 6" baby pin with a collar and a tap on each end. The collar prevents the baby pin from slipping through a grip clamp and the 1/4 and 3/8" threaded sockets provide extra attachment points for lighting accessories. The 6" Baby Pin with Collar is constructed out of steel to be reliable and sturdy.

This stand is sturdy and well built. This one was needed because it replaced one that is being used as a mic stand. Now this one can hold one of my Godox V1's.

If you will be connecting the Godox AD400Pro Witstro All-in-One Outdoor Flash directly to the 5/8" stud on the top of the center column on the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand Kit (10.75', Chrome), then no additional adapter would be needed. If, however, you plan to connect the Godox AD400Pro Wistro All-In-One Outdoor Flash to the grip arm included with the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand Kit (10.75', Chrome), then I would recommend purchasing the Impact 6" Baby Pin with Collar 1/4 and 3/8" Tap, B&H # IMSRP110P. This would be inserted into the grip head on the grip arm, and would allow you to connect the Godox AD400Pro Wistro All-In-One Outdoor Flash onto the grip arm.
