C-Stand with Sliding Leg Kit (Chrome-plated, 11') is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid. Great Value It makes sense to install my expensive lighting equipment on a solid stand. This C-Stand is as solid as it gets. It is well worth the investment. This stand is heavy, heavy duty. and well made. B&H offers such a great deal with this stand, I just thought it was such a smart buy. I believe this stand will also stand the test of time and last me decades. Well worth the investment. Why put your $2000 light on a rickety $20 stand? That is just foolish. I do wish that this website has the ability to distinguish between the minute differences between all the different C-Stands. I also think it would be best to use some kind of reference point to illustrate size to the buyers. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid C-Stand For Price Very well made considering the price. I did not have any issues with sticking joints as some users claimed. It's seems heavy duty and the pipes are a little bigger in diameter than my Matthews c-stands but just seems slightly lighter or maybe lighter weight metal. Hard to tell but seems more than enough. The paint is like all painted stands, but time will tell how well the paint will hold up. It's a great stand and the quality is there for the price. Between this and Matthews...I might go with Matthews just because of the feel of small things like the feel of bolt knobs and the slightly smaller pipe, but that is nitpicking. Buy with confidence. I have both and both are great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very solid C-Stand Got this after having my girlfriend hold a softbox with a westcott light pole for a shoot... This C-Stand saved my relationship.Solid, heavy, and SOLID. Be aware, this stand isn't air or spring cushioned (hasn't really been a big problem), and if you get it, you may want to buy the Impact - 6.0 Pin with Collar to put your lights or mounting brackets at the end (I forgot to buy this little piece and I had to scramble to get one in a local camera store), and sandbags, you NEED to bag this puppy.I would definitively recommend it to anybody, and I probably will end up buying two more of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OutSTANDing Value! Bought this specifically for video production, but wish I'd seen the value and versatility much earlier for photography assignments. This stand has a solid build and great stability. The added functionality of the sliding leg is a no-brainer. Do not purchase this C Stand without buying the separately sold long5/8 double stud, you will miss 90% of the articulating functionality without it. Why the stud is not included with the purchase is beyond me. Got it in black and was a little disappointed receiving it with some nicks and scrapes down to the bare metal, but still worth all five stars. Looks sweet with my black and red accented camera rigs and tripods. This stand is heavyand supported anything I put on it. If you want top quality at a rock bottom price this stand is for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stand - travels well! I mainly use this stand to support a large soft box (30x40 inches) and have had great success for portrait work. It's pretty big and heavy, which is nice, because it supports my Elinchrom head and softbox without the need of a counterweight. The legs fold up nice making it easy for transport. Even though the stand weighs 15 pounds it's no problem to bring with me on set. You can't beat the price either. Oh, and the fact that one leg can slide up is perfect if you need to set the stand on a staircase. The only downside is the weight, but I actually think it's a good thing. I also wish it came with a nut already on the boom arm. It feels sturdy. I highly recommend this stand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made! Great Value! I teach high school students basic film and television production to high school students. Being a public school system, our budget for equipment is very limited. I purchased 2 of these Impact C-Stands for the program so I could teach the kids how to properly set up a C-stand. I was concerned by the low price but was blown away by the quality of materials and construction. This C stand has every feature you will find in more expensive stands. They are also ultra heavy duty so they will be around for years to come. A great investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the money If youre looking for a studio stand to put umbrellas, soft boxes or beauty dishes on at an affordable price, this is a great stand. Sets up easily, heavy duty, extends smoothly, solid build. The only thing I DONT like about it is the base CAN NOT be removed for travel. Yes, they have models that the base does come off, but for another $ bucks. All in all its a great stand but if you need the base to come of you don't want this model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sliding Leg is Both Good and Bad First, this C-Stand is a great value. I have a pair of gorgeous Avenger stands that were more money, but function exactly the same. As far as the sliding leg goes, it is more trouble to set up, but does have additional functionality on stairs, etc. I will still use my Avengers as the go to stands, using these when the sliding leg is needed. The beefy crank on the knuckle and gobo arm are much appreciated; heftier than the Avenger cranks. These stands can take the beating they will get on set.
