What's biggest difference between the HD pro & dgs series? I want the dgs but can settle for this. This would be my first glidecam!
Asked by: DIJON
You really won’t regret the HD Pro model. For the price it’s literally as good as the more expensive DGS. The head attachments are identical. Honestly the HD Pro is a solid Glidecam and would recommend it 100x over

Can an Atomos monitor be mounted in the front of this?
Asked by: Kyle
We would definitely recommend a lighter monitor and have it on the top of the camera where the hotshoe mount is. This is going to better help with balancing. We do recommend this Atomos monitor: https://bhpho.to/2N2dQ5S

Can I use this for 500mm Canon telephoto lens?
Asked by: Chandana
Technically, the Glidecam is capable of holding a camera with that lens, assuming your camera body isn't too heavy. However, I wouldn't typically recommend using a Glidecam for focal lengths longer than about 150mm, as every little motion of the camera is magnified at these lengths.

How rugged is the Glidecam HD-PRO? Say I want to take it on the train to go shoot a short video downtown. Is it rugged enough to just carry it on or do I need to disassemble it first? Comparing this to a Ronin S, would the Glidecam HD-PRO be more rugged for this type of use?
Asked by: Bret
With this not having any motorized or electronic parts it will be more rugged than any motorized gimbal, simply because electronics are the parts that need to be treated with more care. The HD-Pro is made of precision anodized black aluminum, it is very rugged.
