Godox V1 Overview

Godox V1 Flash for Canon
Offering a powerful 76Ws output along with a distinct design, the Godox V1 Flash is an advanced light source with features that clearly reflect the current state of the industry. Compatible with Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II, this flexible on-camera light is distinguished by its round head, which provides soft, smooth light with gradual fall off that augments the flattering output.
  • Flash head rotates 330°, tilts -7 to 120°, and has a magnetic surface for lightning-fast attachment of Godox's accessory light modifiers
  • Powered by a removable 2600mAh lithium-ion battery that will give you up to 480 full-power flashes on a charge
  • Recycles to full power in just 1.5 seconds
  • Supports High Speed Sync up to 1/8000 sec for managing bright backgrounds and shooting with wide apertures; also, the V1 supports front and rear-curtain sync
  • The V1 has an optical receiver as well as a built-in 2.4 GHz radio receiver, which accepts wireless signals from Godox X System transmitters
  • Godox X System enables controlling up to four wireless groups in a transmitter/receiver configuration whereby settings made on the V1 are duplicated on other synced flashes
  • Other features include an AF assist lamp, a 3200K LED modeling lamp, and a 2.5mm port for cabled triggering
Godox XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon Cameras

Using the 2.4 GHz Godox X wireless radio system, the XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger can be used to effectively and reliably trigger flashes from up to 328' away, and when used with compatible flashes and receivers users will have the added benefit of remote power control. This model is compatible with Canon's E-TTL / E-TTL II system, including support for high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second, and offers advanced control options along with settings for working with system-specific features. For ensuring maximum reliability and control, users can set up 16 groups on one of 32 channels and can then access 99 wireless ID settings for limiting interference from other nearby systems.

In addition to basic manual and TTL control modes, other settings are available, including stroboscopic flash and second-curtain sync. Users can adjust flash exposure compensation from -3 to +3 EV as well as wirelessly control the modeling light, zoom setting, and more. For using the XProC with other camera systems there is a 2.5mm sync port that supports triggering via a wired connection. Also, a USB-C port is present for firmware updates and the devices run on two AA batteries for convenience.

Would this flash connect with the Canon 600 flash? I am hoping to have my Canon flash on camera, and the V1 on a light stand. Thank you!
Asked by: Alexandra
Godox V1 TTL Flash and XProC Flash Trigger for Canon does not control Canon speddlite built in receivers. YOu would need to attach a Godox receiver on your Canon unit in order to control expoxure, TTL reading and trigger the speedlite. What's the real story about the many negative reviews ?
Asked by: John
Godox quality control is worst than some more expensive brands. There are reports of inconsistent color and exposure. There are also reports of them failing. That being said, I use the Godox V1 TTL Flash and XProC Flash Trigger for Canon. I am happy with this flash and trigger. TTL and color are acceptable, and I have used the flash to photograph many events. Of course, I always have a backup flash.
