Add this durable Magic Arm with Dual Ball Heads from SmallRig to your rig to mount and adjust monitors, viewfinders, lights, mics, and other accessories. It features dual ball heads and 1/4"-20 screw mounts with tightening thumbwheels and anti-twist locating pins on each end. This lightweight aluminum and stainless steel arm has a load capacity of 12 lb. Each ball mount features a silicone gasket to add grip and friction to the mount when adjusting position, and both are tightened with a center locking lever. A magnetic wrench is included to help tighten the thumbwheels.

We already have a 14" arm with 1/4 monitor mount, elbow in the middle and 3/8 mounting thread. The 1/4" mounting of Small rig version is more versatile and the shorter arm holds in place with much less fiddling!

These magic arms are so good, I bought 2 additional arms. The product works as it should for a good price. I use them for all my on camera monitors.

Can i use smallrig clamps with this?

The locating pins on this magic arm (next to the 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 screw) are spring-loaded and retract when you screw it onto something without locating holes. So you can use these magic arms with SmallRig clamps that don't have locating holes as well as ones with them. The cheaper ones are SmallRig Super Clamp with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 Threads (Pair), BH #SM2058 and the more robust one with more mounting holes is SmallRig Super Clamp for 10-55mm Rods, BH #SM2220.

What is the difference between this product and the Smallrig Articulating Arm which is more expensive? BH #SM2070B

I cannot find a good indicator that differentiated the two to make the more expensive option better other than an easier handle to twist.
