I'm using it to attach and level a Nikon dslr to a slightly out of level copystand. It's small size & butterfly handle & reasonable price were were key features for me. It works smoothly & securely: easy to make very slight adjustments and then lock in position. Happily surprised to find 1/4 to 3/8 adapter included in box.
