While traditional sandbags are an invaluable and irreplaceable component of professional grip kits, the Boa Bag adds a lighter-weight option for different applications on set. One common use of the Boa Bag is as a counterweight when mounting light fixtures and modifiers at an extended length using a boom arm. Boa Bags are quick and comfortable to carry from setup to setup thanks to the wide center strap with a sewn-in rubberized patch; this non-slip section also helps the bag rest securely on grip arms and other surfaces. Because the strap is long enough for the bag to fully wrap around stand legs and other shafts in a bola-like fashion, it cannot be easily knocked off its proper position.
