Cokin CP121F overview

  • 1Description

This Cokin P Series Graduated Neutral Density 0.9 to 0.3 Filter is designed for use with a Cokin P Series Filter Holder. Its 0.9 to 0.3 density creates a darkening of the entire image that is graduated, allowing you to suppress specific areas of an image such as very bright skies, while providing a similar, but reduced effect in other regions of the image that can benefit from a more moderate reduction in exposure, such as reflecting water or sand. The Cokin P Series Graduated Neutral Density 0.9 to 0.3 Filter is densest at the edge with up to a 0.9 density that tapers to a 0.3 density at the other edge. This filter's 0.9 to 0.3 density range corresponds to a reduction of light from entering a lens by three stops to one stop.

This filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

  • Compatible with a Cokin P Series Filter Holder
  • Edge-to-edge, graduated darkening effect with a 0.9 to 0.3 density range
  • Useful for strong exposure suppression in specific areas of an image such as very bright skies, while providing a similar, but reduced result in other regions of the image that can benefit from a more moderate reduction in exposure, such as reflecting water or sand
  • 0.9 to 0.3 density corresponds to an 8x to 2x filter factor that provides a three-stop to one-stop reduction of light
  • Filter does not affect the overall coloration of the image
  • Constructed from optical resin (CR39) for clarity and durability

    Cokin CP121F reviews

P Series Graduated Neutral Density 0.9 to 0.3 Filter (3 to 1-Stop) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works The gradient on this grad ND is softer than I had expected. I usually prefer a 'harder' transition, but it's good enough. Good for shooting landscapes with a dark foreground and a bright sky. (Or vice-versa) My only regret is buying this one that has a fairly soft transition. That is my fault though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from useful tool I used the filter on a 3 day backpacking trip and it held up well to all the banging around. It was easy put on and off the camera. I like the ablity to slide it up and down to get more or less graduation as needed. photo's improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great, like all my Cokin filters. This is an addition to my original set of Cokin ND graduated filters and seems to work fine for me. I just got back from a trip to Yosemite and used this filter a lot because we had bright sunshine each day I was there. This filter helped with the huge contrasts between the bright skies and the darker riverbeds and forests.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shoot in BRIGHT sunlight. This filter allows you to shoot in bright light. It will let you open up a couple of F stops and knock off the glare when shooting in bright sunlight. I like it.
