Great stool for headshots. Not as comfy or padding as I thought but actually perfect for posing corporate headshots. I shot 26 headshots in under 2 hrs and stool was a perfect buy. Have been looking for a new stool and this one fit all the boxes.

Is the black cap on the pneumatic cylinder removable? I can't fit the seat on.
It is removable. As mentioned, it can be done with a couple of clamps or wrenches. I managed to do it bare-handed by twisting and rocking it... but I'm stubborn.
It's odd though... I've seen these caps on office chairs and such, they're usually just a thin cap. This one is clearly purpose-made, molded thick hard plastic. Seems very overpowered. Then again, it's the thing preventing the tube from extending in the package if it were to get bumped just right. who knows.
