Celestron 93318 overview

  • 1Description

Celestron's Omni 9mm Eyepiece is designed for comfortable near and deep-space astronomical observation. It is engineered with a 4-element lens configuration, blackened edges, and anti-reflective fully multi-coated optical surfaces to ensure bright and clear high-contrast images with true color transmission across the entire 50° field of view. With a 1.25" diameter barrel, it will fit the most common size drawtubes, visual backs, and accessories. The housing is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with a reflection-limiting matte anodized finish, and a fold-down eyecup make this eyepiece ideal for comfortable viewing for extended periods with or without eyewear.

    Celestron 93318 reviews

    Omni 9mm Eyepiece (1.25") is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average quality This eyepiece performs on average level. For the price I paid I did not expect any miracles. Maybe the final magnification - 133x is close to the limit of my 6 1200mm reflector. Image of the moon is a bit fuzzy, the same with Jupiter. Overall it is worth to get this inexpensive eyepiece just to experience the high magnification.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I love it!!! I will use it to actually see a true close-up of the things in the sky. I have only gotten to see through for a few moments as it has been cloudy. But, in the time I did use it - WOW - what a difference!!! I just know I am gong to love this!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great eyepiece Used it on Saturn last night. Clear view, and easily see space between rings and the planet itself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Razor sharp images I didn't expect much of this little ep but it suprised me! It gives excellent and luminous images, razor sharp without fuzzines. Excellent field stop and no deformation over borders. Wonderful to use even with my 200 f/5 newtonian reflector. Celestron's Omni series is really one of the best out there for its price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Useful extra Originally bought for another purpose but now use it with our recently purchased C9 telescope. The reason it gets a 3 is that the fold down eye cup was cracked all along the fold and has since torn off completely. However this piece was of negligible use anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid quality Good clarity and respectable FOV. A solid Plossl lense. On a added note, it can be used with the Orion Telextender that threads to your visualback. The lense sits in the visualback allowing you to use lenses with your DSLR camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for astrophotography Bought to use in my Celestron Tele-Extender as it fits and was cost efficient. I have not been disappointed.
