Is this convertor Nikon 1.7x compatible with Tamron 70- 200/2.8g2 lens and Nikon 5600 mount. thank you
Asked by: Sanjib Kumar
No this will not work, the Nikon Teleconverters have a specific tab that does not allow certain lenses to be used with them. Normally to get them to function, you would need the Nikon equivalent of that lens. But sadly, upon testing, the Nikon teleconverter will not allow the Tamron 70-200 G2 to be mounted onto it.

Sure it will but it’s more important to pair the teleconverter to a lens. This one is really made for just F 2.8 lenses for the best quality.

It will work fine on the 70-200 2.8. Just a little light loss and slow focusing sometimes.
