No, the RODE NTG2 Shotgun Microphone does not have a -10 dB pad, but it does have a switchable high-pass filter set at 80 Hz which can be used to remove low frequency noise that is not part of your intended source.

Can I leave the AA battery in or do I need to remove it when I'm done recording?
Asked by: Chris
You can leave a AA battery inside of the RODE NTG2 Shotgun Microphone as long as you will be using the mic again within a few days. Otherwise, it is always best to remove the battery from an electronic device that will not be used for a while in order to prevent damage from problems caused by the battery leaking.
