Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate thes caps I hate these new Nikon lens caps. All they do is fall off. I contantly loose them. The old Nikon caps were great, the best ever made, have some that are 30 years old, hold on tight and almost never fell off. These are just the opposite, if they get bumped even very softly they are off the lens. I've lost some when I didn't even feel or hear the lens hit anything. The only reason I use them is there is nothing better, all the caps now are this same stupid design and pop off for no reason, these are the 'lesser of evils'. Wish Nikon offered both the old style and these, but they don't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I borrowed my boss' camera and returned it. My boss asks me where's the lens cap? I say, there was no lens cap and he says Oh yes there was. Feeling guilty that I lost the lens cap' I found the exact cap at B&H Photo... it fit perfectly. A couple of days later my boss found the original lens cap in his home. Story of my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I lost my original lens cap cover. It seems like they fall off easier when you have a filter on the lens. I was happy to find this replacement at B and H. I wanted a Nikon brand. My only regret is not buying more than one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 52mm Lens Cap Boy - how embarrassing! One sunny and light day in Ketchikan Alaska, I went to a solstice party and shot my little heart out with a Nikon D40. Snap here, snap there, shot here, shot there, drink here, drink there and before I know it, I was stumbling home with a fistful of pictures on my camera. On that zig zaggy walk home, I happened to loose my lens cap. Replacement bought and fits like a beaut! I recommend next time, as a note for other imbibers of brew, to be careful about where you set lens cap as well as your shots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like the Original I purchased this lens cap to replace the original cap that was included on my kit lens. It is identical to the original cap and fits nicely on my 18mm-55mm lens. The lens cap uses a pinch grip mechanism that holds the cap on tight. It seems durable enough to last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Better Lens Cap I lost my cap and decided that since I had invested in a Nikon, I should have a Nikon lens cap. It's actually a better cap because you can squeeze it from the center rather than the edges to put it on the lens. Little things like that make a differnce.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement Lens Cap; Now have Two Well, what can I say? I could not find my lens cover as we readied for a long trip to the other side of the USA. Frustrated, I called the restaurant where we had dine night before; no such luck from the lost & found department. So after deciding that it was gone, I ordered a replacement cover. Thank you. One day after its arrival, the other cap reappears after hiding under this keyboard for more than a month. What can I say; too costly to return the newly arrived cover, I'm keeping them both.
