Nikon 4749 reviews

72mm Snap-On Lens Cap is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 160.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from easy to use, easy to lose The cap usually protects my lens when I'm not using it. When I am snapping pictures I put it in my right hand pocket. If you really want to surprise me and maybe sell a lot more caps, invent some kind of Transformer lens that shape changes and makes the lens turn into a hood/parasol. Otherwise, because it's an accessory that is easily lost and overpriced people may start to think that its been designed this way for business reasons. Wrongdoing clients can lead to nikon employees and shareholders having bad posture. Think about it. By the way, I don't need 250 dollars to remain a client, I prefer to think nikon needs to put the client first when it comes to lens caps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use lens cap I bought this for one of my Canon lenses because I do not like the Canon's outer pinch system. This is a much easier to use cap, as you won't hit the lens hood if you have one on. It is a bit expensive for the price, however. Functionally, I give it a 5/5. Value wise, a 4/5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Easy To Use I use these lens caps on my Canon lenses because I greatly prefer the center pinch Nikon design to the edge pinch design of the standard Canon lens caps. These are just so much easier to use when you have a lens hood mounted. A little expensive for a piece of plastic, perhaps, but I think the convenience is worth a little extra cost in the long run.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not so good for the 85mm Ai-s with hood Wanted to use this with my old manual focus 85mm f/1.4 Ai-s lens, but with the lens hood for this lens, this lens cap does not work. Works fine without the lens hood, but when would I use the lens without the hood (?) as this was why I wanted the easy to snap in/snap out lens cap as pictured. This type of lens cap is my favorite for other Nikon lenses used with a lens hood/lens shade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the thing I required!! Nobody else had it and B&H did! It arrived ahead of schedule and was exactly as presented for a lot less than competitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit OEM part... perfect fit! Great price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish it stayed on better Replacing one that got stolen. My only complaint has been that the caps pop off easily. Most of that is due to the small amount of fine threads that they are expected to engage. Would need a stronger spring and very durable teeth on the clips to do a better job. Bought the Nikon replacement because the price difference in dollars was not that bad and I know it won't fall apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can be improved I lost the one I had, because the cap keeper's glue had been weakened. I needed another one anyway. I saw a lens cap for Panasonic Lumix. It has a loop kind design at the rim of the cap, and a cap keeper's string goes through it and attached to a lens. If Panasonic can do it, why not Nikon? (I used a drop of Super Glue this time for this and two others, as well.)
