The Vixen #3541 Dew Heater allows you to have longer viewing sessions with your catadioptric or refractor telescope, by preventing the buildup of dew on the objective lens.

Simply insert the heating element into the protected portion of the cord, attach the heating element pigtail to the battery box, and surround the objective with the heating cord-this will keep dew away from the objective lens without disturbing the internal thermal equilibrium of the scope.

The dew heater requires eight user-supplied "D" batteries.

26.2" (665mm) long waterproof heating cord

Rated 3 out of 5 by from May work on telescope tubes for awhile, but... - Designed for telescope tubes, not view or camera lenses, - Wire connections to battery pack are 2 exposed solder points appearing vulnerable to being pulled out, so be prepared to repair/resolder, - Manual cautions This product does not prevent dew condensation perfectly. - Opt for other brands of dew heaters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the money I use this dew heater primarily for astrophotography. I have used it on lenses as small as a 10-22 mm and as large as 600 mm without any dew problems. The batteries last all night when I shoot timelapse photos. I have been using this heater for over a year now and have not had any problems with it so far. If you treat it well it will work for you.
