Will this suit a Fuji X-T5, and not obstruct the battery door to prevent it from fully opening?

I would like to attach my Nikon D800 to my Black Rapid RS-7 curve strap using some quick release equipment ie arca swiss slidefix QA Camera plate and a Kirk QRC-1 Quick release clamp. Is this practical and are these reasonable componets to do it with?
It is doable but not practical, it's a little on the small side. I use that particular model for my Fuji X100, where it's just right. I would suggest going with the regular Arca Swiss system, I use a Really Right Stuff L-Plate which I just leave on the camera.

Is the screw itself fixed to the plate, or does it turn? If it turns, does it require a wrench (Allen Wrench, perhaps)?
The screw does turn and it will require an Allen wrench.
