It is compatible with the classic Arca-Swiss monoballFix quick release system so you can easily attach or detach your camera from the tripod while shooting. Made of aluminum for durability, the plate attaches to your camera via a standard 1/4"-20 screw and features dedicated holes for the compatible camera's registration pin.

Yes that plate will work with that tripod head and the 5D Mark ll.That plate is a universal plate and is fine but a longer plate should be used if the lens is long and has a tripod collar. As for the length it depends on the specific lens.

That camera is not listed as tested by Arca-Swiss. We have the opinion that there is a very good chance the locating pin will work.
