Matthews Hollywood Century C-Stand Reviews
Best c stand in the business
The redesigned Matthews rocky c stand improved what was already good, making this my absolute favorite stand over American, Avenger and Norm's (though they're almost exactly the same). The Gobo and t handles are shaped to create maximum mechanical advantage and you can open and close this stand with one hand. I will say that Avenger seems to have magical chrome plating that holds up better than any other brand including Matthews.
Perfect outdoor/lightweight C-Stand!
Love the durability and lightness of this stand. It's perfect for outdoor documentary interviews. Not too heavy so lugging it around is not as inconvenient on small doc shoots. And it only takes up half the space of a standard size. The color also spares me of any light reflection that the silver color can often cause. Thanks!
