Benro B3 Reviews
Bigger than I expected but perfect

I was looking for a replacement for my Benro V1. This is even better because it's bigger and more sturdy. Forget about weight capacity. What the specs don't tell you about these heads is the diameter of the base or the radius of the ball head. The B3 is bigger than the V1 making a much more solid foundation for my camera gear.
Solid with smooth controls

Most of my simple ball heads had various proprietary plates, but I wanted one compatible with ARCA-Type plates and, of course, an ARCA-type L-Bracket. It is solid with smooth controls, making it easy to set up for landscape photography.

would this work with SmallRig cages for Canon EOS R?
Yes, any cage will attach to a tripod head but you would be better off with a pan & tilt head for doing smooth pans and tilts when shooting video.

Considering Benro B3 vs benro B4 any pros or cons to the quick release plate?
The Benro B3 comes with the PU60 plates (60mm long) versus the Benro B4's PU70 (70mm long). Depending on the size of your camera and the position of its battery door, either plate might obstruct it, but the longer plate has a higher chance of doing so.

Is this head suitable for a lightweight 4x5 wooden field camera? Chamonix N2
The head is very sturdy. Knobs are small but work well. No problem with the weight. I use it with a large heavy 300mm lens and camer with no issues. Stays where I set it.

I am picking up my Canon 90D with battery grip this Saturday. Thinking about getting the Benro TMA37AL and the Benro B3 head. About broke now but want a good tripod and I heard about this one. Will this fit my set up ok? Don't do video just landscape photography here inn the PNW. Thank you for any help.
I have this exact setup and can say without a doubt that it's a very robust tripod and head and should serve you well just beware this tripod isn't super compact when fully retracted and you may find it unwieldy if you're hiking in somewhere for a shot.
