    Watson C-3409 reviews

Compact AC/DC Charger for EN-EL14 or EN-EL14A Battery is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 71.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine; one caveat The Watson aftermarket LiO battery charger is an excellent alternative to Nikon's OEM unit that came with my Coolpix P7800. It is smaller, lighter, but more importantly will also run on a 12 volt DC automobile cig lighter in addition to US-European AC wall sockets, which is why I bought it. The Watson also has a USB charger port, which will come in handy. So it's truly a universal charger. The caveat is the removeable plastic battery holder plate, which varies depending on the battery itself... the charger is generic. The holder has two prongs that stick up 3/8 to retain the EN/EL-14 battery in the charger. These look like they could break off easily. Too easily. It also makes storing the charger in a camera bag a little riskier. The Watson needs a lid to protect these prongs when not in use. But for $ 20.00 it is a great deal. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We quickly realized that our expensive camera was worthless with out the Battery charger after leaving the charger in a vacation rental overseas. I went to 6 different camera shops looking for a replacement with out any luck. Then I found this charger in a B&H catalog I had received after purchasing a printer. It was half the price that I had expected, and the shipping was fast and affordable. This charger is very compact and can be plugged into outlets here in the US as well as Europe,it can even be used in the auto. If you need a replacement charger, I strongly suggest that you go to B&H's website and order the Pearstone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best charger I've bought ever. This charger is amazing! I'm planning a backpacking trip and require a DC charger to hook to my solar panel. I bought this charger because it has exchangeable plates that can charge both my camera batteries when used with an extra 5$ plate. I hooked this up to my panel and was able to charge my battery in less than 8h with the charger working flawlessly. It also has a AC plug with adapter for the euro zone. The USB charging port is also a plus. I contacted the company to ask if this product would work with a solar panel and had a few questions as to if the device would shut off once the battery was fully charged (it does) and what would happen to the USB port (does not turn off) because I planned to use it as trickle charging of a USB battery.. I have not tested the USB port as my plans have changed, but I was very happy with the company responding within 8 hours of my request!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liking the red and green lights I have only used this charger twice so far, so can't address long term sorts of things. I like it a lot so far. When you first put the battery in, and plug it in, it shows a red light. When it is done, it shows green. I can't say how long it took to charge the battery, but I can say that compared to all the chargers I've ever used, this one is very clear about when the battery is charged. Most of them have yellow lights that flash sometimes and I can never remember which mode means that the battery is charged. So the ease of use on this one is fantastic. It is also more compact than my previous charger, so fits on a power strip better. I had never heard of this brand before, but can say: So far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charges same as OEM I bought this because unlike the original charger that came with the camera, it can be plugged into an outlet and lay flat on a table or counter top. I am leaving on a cruise in a couple of weeks in Europe and I have found that outlets on cruise ships and in hotels in Europe aren't always conducive to a having a charger which fits flush against the wall like the one that came with the camera. Rooms on cruise ships are small and outlets are generally limited. I have tried it at home and it has worked flawlessly and I'm confident that I won't have a problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I bought this to charge up a couple of Watson EN-EL14A batteries that I bought, because I didn't want to charge those batteries on my Nikon charger even though it would probably be okay. Figured I'd keep non-OEM batteries on a non-OEM charger made by the same non-OEM manufacturer. :) It works well. Takes a while to do a full charge. To get a full charge, the instructions say to leave the battery on the charger for another hour after the light turns green. Don't know why they opted to do it that way, but it made a difference when I tested battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Charging system. While traveling abroad I use 3 different batteries for my cameras, and video monitor, with this system I can use this charger with interchangable battery plates, and with the Watson Duo and this one I have a back up chargeing system for all my batteries. It saves weight, space, and it charges on 12V, 110-220 and charges USB. The only negitive which a lot of people commented on is the plate is not very secure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Sweet This is an amazing charger! As everyone says it is very convenient and awesome when your on the go. This is honestly the perfect charger. The only reason why its getting 4 stars is because the charger started blinking when I tried charging my battery and an mp3 using the usb port. Not too sure what caused it but overall it's an awesome camera charger.
