I'm looking for tripod for a Dianfan Monocular Telescope 10x50, would this tripod work with this scope? Thanks in advance ! MJG
Asked by: MJ
Yes, you can attach Dianfan Monocular Telescope 10x50 to Magnus VT-100 Tripod System with 2-Way Pan Head. The release plate on the tripod has a 1/4-20 screw which match the thread size your telescope. Magnus VT-100 also have a 4.4LB load capacity, which almost triple the weight of your telescope.

question

Is the DSLR Canon EOS Rebel t5i too heavy for this tripod? Also, does it work well outside in grass, gravel, etc?
Asked by: Tiaras P.
The Rebel T5i with a 18-55mm lens weighs 1.6 lbs/730 grams, which is well within the Magus VT-100's limit. To answer your other question, any tripod is meant to be used in grass, gravel sand, dirt and snow. I do have to caution and say this is an economy tripod that is very light and is for basic duty. For more critical uses, say astrophotography or long time exposures, consider upgrading to a more robust tripod when you can.

question

Please describe the pan and tilt action of this tripod. Is it jerky or smooth?
Asked by: Anonymous
The tripod has a fluid head - so it's pretty smooth. Not as smooth as more high end fluid heads, but for the price it's good. There isn't a tripod / fluid head all in one package that's cheaper than this model. And it's very light for transport -
