    LEE Filters WAR-082 reviews

82mm Wide-Angle Lens Adapter Ring for 100mm System Filter Holder is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the Lee Foundation Kit Bought the 77mm & 82mm Wide Angle adapter rings to use the Foundation Kit and square filters on my 82mm filter lenses. Works great, just use care screwing on if your filter threads are plastic. Warnings Remove any screw-on filters before attaching this adapter. If you don't, you will have a major problem if the screw-on filter gets stuck on this adapter ring. Its recessed so there's no way to grip the stuck filter on this adapter. Avoid over-tightening, especially if your filter threads are plastic. Only gave it 4 stars because it is expensive for just a threaded ring.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality but beware... I got this adapter for the Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8 Wide-angle Zoom in Nikon Mount (not that it matters what mount) and it will not fit. There is not enough clearance between the metal fold-back and the lens's bayonet mount. On smaller diameter lenses, this is not a problem. Lee needs to make the clearance just a bit greater or Tokina needs to re-think the bayonet mount.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Dice I purchased this adapter to enable the use of the Lee Foundation Kit and all of my Lee ND filters and the Big Stopper with my new Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8 ultra wide angle lens. Unfortunately the adapter will not screw onto this lens. Thus I've had to return the adapter. I contacted Customer Support st Lee and was advised that I could try the normal (non ultra wide) 82mm adapter but would experience vinetting at the wide end. Not sure what I'll do. Very disappointed in Lee on this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Careful what you buy The SW150 system looks like a flexible filter system for multiple cameras and lenses. However, I think that the overall mechanical design of its components is cumbersome and possibly confusing. I just bought the Mark II system with the system adaptor and the lens adaptor for my Nikon 24-70mm lens. My lens has a 82mm filter size, but the Lee lens adaptor ring 82mm doesn't fit there ! Lee told me to try the 77mm ... what does it mean try ? A size is a size. Sorry, but not good markings on this product. I will exchange the 82mm ring with a 77mm and I will review the product again. Make sure you are able to try the ring on your lens, if you want to avoid back and for with the shop.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too expensive, too inaccessible This is a simple aluminum adapter so that you can connect your Lee filter holder to your lens. It is simple, but costs way more than it should, and B&H sells it for more than other vendors. Hence, 3 stars. Why buy it here? There is always a shortage of these adapters and B&H had it. Lee told me in an email that the Century 82mm wide angle adapter is the exact same adapter. I used this to build a DIY Lee connector to my Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L lens. If you are looking to build a wide-angle Lee holder, this is the 82mm adapter you want.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WILL NOT WORK ON TOKINA 11-20 F/2.8 I tried several times to screw this adaptor onto my Tokina 11-20, f/2.8 lens. It would not tighten properly. Most of the attempts it was loose, and once it was cross threaded. I was afraid it was going to damage the threads on my lens. I have a 72mm wide angle adaptor for my Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4 which attaches perfectly. I believe the problem is with the lens, and not the adaptor. If there is a way to attach it properly, it is certainly not worth the hassle and time to do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lee WAR-082 I have migrated all of my filters to the Lee Filter system. As a result, I needed to acquire the adapter ring(s) for the lenses that I have or will be purchasing in the future. The 82mm wide angle adapter ring works great for connecting the filter holder to my Canon 16-35/2.8L II USM. Quality product that will allow me to expand my filter capabilities and create magical images.
