Canon DR-E12 Overview

This DC Coupler DR-E12 is compatible with select Canon digital cameras. It fits inside the camera's battery compartment and attaches to the DC cord of the CA-PS700 AC adapter accessory.

I use my M50 for YT videos and I do worry when I see the battery level not full as I might need to change it and therefore not have the exact same shot afterwards. Expensive stuff for a cable but works wonders

No, the Canon DC Coupler DR-E12 is not compatible for use with the Canon EOS 77D DSLR camera. The Canon DC Coupler DR-E6, B&H # CADRE6, would instead be the correct DC coupler for use with the Canon EOS 77D DSLR camera.

Sorry, no. This is meant only for use with the Canon AC Adapter CA-PS700 B&H # CACAPS700. Any other use would be DIY and not supported.

Is this compatible with Canon EOS 77D? EOS 77D uses the same LP E17 battery as M50 and EOS RP.

No, the Canon DC Coupler DR-E12 will not work with the Canon EOS 77D DSLR Camera. The DR-E12 is for camera that use the LP-E12 battery such as the M50. The RP and the 77D both use the LP-E17 battery. The 77D and the RP should use the Canon DC Coupler DR-E18, BH #CADRE18 (https://bhpho.to/3VKajc3). Keep in mind this is only the DC coupler, and one would still need the AC adapter for it. The correct AC adapter would be the Canon AC-E6N AC Adapter, BH #CAACE6N (https://bhpho.to/3HmIS3W).

Yes, the battery door has a cutout to accommodate the dummy battery cable.

This is only a coupler to allow the use of an AC adapter on Canon DSLRs which take the LP-E12 battery.
