The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Octagonal Luxbanx is an 84" light modifier that attaches quickly to the softbox's recessed front via touch-fasteners. The 40° grid narrows the beam spread from your softbox to control spill light and add directionality similar to a reflector while maintaining a soft quality of light. Unlike unwieldy rigid grids, Impact fabric grids are extremely lightweight and fold flat for transport in the included carry case.

Does anyone know if this will fit the Chimera Octaplus 5? I've got the medium 60" version of this grid, but it is too small for Chimera's 5' Octaplus. Perhaps this 84" version fits?
No, that will not fit. Grids are brand specific.

Unfortunately, we are not sure if the Impact Fabric Grid for Large Octagonal Luxbanx (84") would be compatible for use with the ARRI DoPchoice Octa 7 Softbox. The only grid listed as an accessory for the ARRI DoPchoice Octa 7 Softbox is the ARRI DoPchoice 40-Degree SNAPGRID for SkyPanel S60 Octa 7 Softbox, B&H # ARL20020277. The items are not on display in our NYC Superstore for compatibility testing.

The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Square Luxbanx (40 x 40") BH #IMLBGSQL is specifically designed for the Impact 40x40. Adapting it would be a DIY process that may or may not work out.

Can anyone give me exact dimensions on the point to point and flat to flat edge of this grid?
Unfortunately, the manufacturer was not able to provide the exact dimensions as it depends on the tension or smoothness when applied to the touch fastener on the softbox, and how much give the material has as it lays above the diffuser.
