The EX-Macro Aluminum Tabletop Tripod from Velbon is a small, lightweight tripod with a 3-way pan/tilt head. It extends from 8" to 22.2", and holds up to 3.3 lb, making it ideal for point-and-shoot or small DSLR cameras. The tripod folds down to 11", making it portable and great for travel. The 3-section legs have radial braces for added support. On top of the tripod is a 3-way pan and tilt head that turns 90° to portrait orientation, and allows for left to right pans and forward and backward tilts. A carrying case is included for easy transport.

EX-Macro Aluminum Tabletop Tripod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellend design The Velbon Ex-Macro tabletop tripod is being used with a Nikon D7100 and a Nikkor Micro 40 mm lens, circular polarizer and a Nissin MF18 ring flash. With all those components, the tripod is quite stable and is even more stable with the 3-section radial braces extended. However, with the camera set at 90 deg (portrait) orientation, the camera will tip over unless it is oriented in such a way that the camber is directly over one of the tripod legs. The 3-way pan/tilt head works well but I believe the weight of my setup is a bit much for it. I would recommend keeping to the 3.3 lb weight limit. For heavy loads, I would not recommend extending the height.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delicate, plastic supports Legs are durable, but support braces are made from plastic and are flimsy. Pins attaching the braces are plastic. The tripod is extremely light. Legs expand to give a nice broad support base. Head has many plastic parts. With my camera, lens, macro rail, the camera wobbles a for almost 30 seconds when I touch it. I will keep this and use it in the home for some goofing around, but it will not be my main macro tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price great product Very solid tripod! Exactly what I was expecting. I am a quadriplegic limited sto a power chair and this fits perfectly in my lap. I have no use in my hands but am able to get a smooth panning video most of the time. So someone with the use of their hands would have no problem getting a smooth pan, just may need a couple pratice pans and some messing with some nobs(; but definitely worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for travelling. I've been looking for something between a full-sized tripod and a table top for a while now and this one is perfect. It's made with plastic and metal so that it's very light weight and is less than half the size of my regular tripod but sturdy enough to easily handle my camera with the largest/heaviest lens I have. I like the bracing in between the legs and the fully functional ball head which will allow me to do something like astrophotography or long exposures which I couldn't do reliably with the table top due to the limited functionality of its ballhead. I chose the 3-way pan over the 2-way. For the tiny difference in weight/cost, it's well worth it to have it do everything my regular tripod ballhead can do. (I tried to post photos but it wouldn't submit)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small Tripod packs big punch I am a sports videographer and have a team with a small window over looking the Basketball court. I needed a small tripod that could allow me to put my pro cam in that small space and this absolutely did the trick. Its wide footprint keeps my cam nice and steady even though my cam exceeds the recommended weight of @ 3lbs

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact and Light This thing fits easily in a carry on or in checked luggage. It is super light and compact and does the job in the pinch. It doesn't extend that high but that is the trade off of its small size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good mini tripod We were packing light and I anticipated some night time long exposure shots. This one worked out very well. Light, not as compact as others but more flexible as to be taller.
