Leica puts a new spin on their perennial favorite, the 10x42 Trinovid HD Binocular with phase corrected prisms that are coated with highly reflective multi-coatings to increase reflectivity, and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to boost light transmission through the lenses. These optical coatings work together to produce high-contrast images with true color rendition and minimal distortion. This optical performance is coupled with a powerful 10x magnification, wide apparent angle of view and generous eye relief to produce an immersive viewing experience.

Complementing the views produced by the Trinovid HD are construction details that make this optic able to stand up to the rigors of a life lived on the trail. First is a lightweight, sturdy, and corrosion-resistant magnesium alloy chassis that makes this binocular light and easy to handle. The body is covered with a textured rubber armor that protects it from bumps and impacts while giving it a slip-resistant grip in cold or wet conditions. Its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make it waterproof and submersible as well as fogproof when moving between extreme temperature fluctuations. To make handling the Trinovid easier are tethered objective lens covers that flip down and out of the way for observing, plus an ocular rainguard that attaches to the strap. Leica also includes their Adventure Strap system, which is a unique harness system that can be configured multiple ways for easier carrying and handling, while also doubling as a soft carrying bag to protect the binocular when not in use.

10x42 Trinovid HD Binocular is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-round glasses // Leica Trinovid 10x42 The Leica Trinovid is well balanced and presents a clear and bright image. I compared this binocular with the Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42 and the Swarovski SLC 10x42 and found the Leica Trinovid to be the best fit for me. Since all three glasses have an excellent image quality, the main reasons for my selection are mostly personal preference. Pros: 1.) The main difference, in my opinion, is the focus wheel of the Leica. The wheel is very smooth and has out of the three the highest residence. The combination of smoothness and higher uniform resistance allows very precise and nuanced focusing. The Conquest HD's wheel turns lighter in comparison, though it is equally smooth and uniform. Surprisingly, the SLC's wheel did not turn smooth and uniform at all and has a very cheap feeling to it. Both the 8x42 and 10x42 SLC demo glasses had this issue and therefor lost my interest. 2.) A more personal preference, are the Leica's eye cups. They are in comparison to the Conquest HD smaller and firmer and fit better against my eyes. 3.) The Trinovid is the smallest and lightest out of the three. The glass weighs 745g without accessories and 851g with lens covers and strap. I was not able to weigh the other two. Cons 1.) The carrying bag Leica includes is not usable on a daily basis. If it is important to you to have a classic bag, you should check it out before you buy it. I didn't care that much and may buy the bag that comes with the Noctivid. 2.) I wish Leica would make Winged Eyecups for the Trinovid as they do for the Noctivid. Until they do, however, I bought Swarovski's Winged Eyecup/Rainguard. They fit perfectly, see attached image. Conclusion: Great all-round glasses that is equal to the Conquest HD and even comparable to the $800.00 more expensive Swarovski SLC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Binoculars I bought these for my son as a 27th Birthday present. I have a pair of the same Leica series that are some 15 years old and have been impressed with them. These new ones are of the same outstanding quality and have put a smile on my son's face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trinovid/Leica live up to Leica's reputation I have owned a pair of 8X32 trinovids for at least 20 years. I have wanted a binocular with a greater enlargement as in this case by a quarter. Also a wider field of vision. After studying a lot of options and talking with Patrick, your sales rep, I bought these. They have proven to be better than I imagined in that they are slightly heavier and this calms my tremor. I have already recommended to others not only trinovids but buying from B&H. Thanks, Nick (Richard).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I haven't used it yet, Haven't used it yet, but love the feel of the binocs and its halter. Have had a Trinovid in the past, so expect it to perform like my last ones. I find them heavier than I expected = that is a disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Planning to by a spare pair! Great pair of binoculars, much better than my old Swarovski and way to much lighter.
