My main concern ordering this eye cup was if it rotated since I use my left eye and to shoot vertical. Good news; it does. Perhaps because my eyes are a little deep set or the way I hold the camera with this eyecup is far superior to anything the manufacturers make, and for a quick vertical it folds up against your cheek without poking into it. I do a lot of theater photography that gets used at very low Rez so I don’t really have to turn the camera vertically for those shoots but as you’ve seen these photos, this is my street set up a seven artisans 50 mm 1.4 tilt shift my Sony a7R3 and now the Velo eyecup!

Assumed that it would fit an a7R v as it is listed to fit an a7R iv. too small. Does not fit

Unfortunately, the Vello ESS-A7 Eyeshade for Sony a7 Series Cameras only lists the Sony a7, a7 II, a7S, a7S II, a7R, and a7R II Mirrorless Digital Cameras as the cameras compatible with this eyeshade. I cannot confirm if it will also fit the Sony FDR-AX53 4K Ultra HD Handycam Camcorder.

It would probably work if the eye viewer attachment is the same as the A7. It is a easy installation and can be rotated for right or left eye
