I know step down rings are very simple pieces of metal. But I was relieved to see that they fit well on the lens And my filter fits well on the inside ring. (I have seen worse...)
Works great on my Nikon D750 with Nikon 28-300 lens (normal 77mm filter mount). Can use all my smaller 52mm filters. No vignetting as long as you use the DX in-camera crop option, found on the D750 menu. You should not use these filters in FX Full-Frame mode.
