The Vello adapter adds a 1.4x magnification to the lens. And all lenses are about 1.5x longer when used on a DX sensor. So if you use a Nikon 50mm lens on your camera, it would look more like a 75mm. If you adapt a Canon 50mm Fd lens, it would be 75 times 1.4 which equals 105mm.
