The camera skin went on the camera easily. Definitely seems to add a layer of protection. The only downside is that some of my other accessories won’t fit on the bottom screw mount due to added thickness. That’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

Yes, this skin still allows access to the 1/4-20 thread on the bottom of the camera, so you won't have any issues mounting it to a tripod.
