Celestron Omni 56mm Plossl Eyepiece (2")

Celestron designed their Omni 56mm Plossl Eyepiece to produce comfortable low-power views in long focal length telescopes—perfect for viewing wide-field deep sky objects or daytime terrestrial vistas. It is engineered with a 4-element Plossl lens configuration, blackened edges, and anti-reflective fully multicoated optical surfaces to ensure bright and clear high-contrast images with true color transmission across the entire 47° field of view. The larger 2" nosepiece fits into all visual backs, holders, and accessories and allows maximum light transmission while helping to produce the exceptionally long and comfortable 52mm eye relief. Its housing is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with a reflection-limiting matte anodized finish, and a fold-down eyecup makes this eyepiece ideal for viewing over extended periods with or without eyewear. Standard threads on the front of the nosepiece allow you to use most 2" filters. Weighing almost a pound, Celestron thoughtfully put a textured non-slip rubber ring around the middle of the eyepiece for better handling when inserting and removing it from your telescope.
