Leica 10x25 Trinovid BCA Binoculars
Key Features
  • P40 Phase-Corrected Roof Prisms
  • HighLux Fully Multi-Coated Optics
  • HDC and AquaDura Optical Coatings
  • Closed-Bridge/Dual-Hinge Configuration
Inspired by their iconic full-sized counterpart, the Leica 10x25 Trinovid BCA Binoculars deliver the performance users have come to expect from the brand, but in a highly portable and easy-to-carry design. Thare are designed with a combination of phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms, the proprietary HighLux system, and HDC fully multi-coated optics to produce bright and clear color-neutral images, while fitting comfortably in the hand for long, fatigue-free glassing sessions. The HDC coatings add abrasion-resistance to protect the exterior lens surfaces, and the lenses are also treated with AquaDura coatings, which make them easy to clean dirt, grime, oils, sap, and fingerprints without leaving residues that can interfere with views.

Are these Leica's guaranteed to be 100% dustproof? I can keep them dry enough, but cannot keep desert dust off of them.
Asked by: Mark
They are dust-proof internally (no dust will intrude into the interior where it could permanently impair the optical experience). External dust is a matter of cleaning, which is often best done with compressed air or blowing on them. Never aggressively wipe dust from the lenses. Use a brush if you don't have compressed air, can't blow it off, etc. And be certain to hold the binocular so that the lens being brushed is facing the ground. This way the dust can fall away from the lens, rather than just being moved around it.

What size lens caps work for the objectives and eyepieces for this 10x25 BCA model? I’m looking at the Kaiser lens caps. Thanks!
Asked by: Steve
The lens cap needed will be 31mm, we tried using the 32mm Keiser cap but it is a bit too big.

question

what is the difference between this model and the ultravids?
Asked by: Anonymous
A friend bought the ultravids at the same time I bought the Trinovids, the ultras have a different coating and a slightly better diopter setting mechanisim. However for viewing quality their appears to be no discernable difference that we can tell, both are outstanding quality.
