How tall is this tank? I am looking for something to process 5x12" sheet film.
Sorry but it won’t work for a 5 x 12 negative. The internal height is only 9 inches, bottom to the light barrier funnel, or 11 inches, bottom to lid w/o the light barrier funnel. The internal diameter is 3.75 inches, giving a circumference of 11.8 inches, You could put a 5 x 12 in it horizontally but you would have a .22 in. overlap on the long side meaning your usable negative would only about 5 x 11.5 usable when developed. Hope this helps.

How many Millimeters should be used when developing 8x10" sheet film?
The Paterson Super System 4 Multi-Reel 5 Developing Tank can hold up to five 35mm rolls or three 120/220 rolls. The tank cannot be used for 8x10 or any sheet film.

Does the item contain center column, funnel and agitator?
Yes, all three items were included in the box. However, I don't use the agitator as part of my developing process as I invert the tank rather than turning it with the agitator.

how long does it take to fill up the entire tank with chemistry? i believe 5rolls of 135 would require 1500ml of it. do you need to compensate for time to avoid over develop negatives in the bottom?
It's only a matter of 10-15 seconds. I compensate about 5 seconds and have never had issues! I've never directly measured how much chemistry, but use a 2L kit and life is easy. I would guess its more around 1600ml!!

Is it necessary to fill up the whole tank with chemicals even if you're developing only 1 or 2 rolls ? I understand that empty reels should still be stacked up to prevent the loaded reel to move too much but still need to be sure if the less than full tank affects developing in a bad way ?
No it's not, below the tank you can find the specific volume for each number or reels either 120 or 35mm, just make sure as you said the empty reels are stacked above to prevent it does not get chemicals.

They must be purchased separately. When I ordered mine, I ordered this with it: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/253369-REGThis particular tank also works with the MOD54 setup, which is for use with 4x5 sheet film, in case you're into that. Low-cost alternative to the JOBO rigs.
