    Behringer 1002FX reviews

XENYX 1002FX 10 Channel Audio Mixer with Effects Processor is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small package, works great I use the 1002FX to mix keys and vocals for small venues with a jazz band. My objectives were to have something that was really portable, but flexible to configure for different performing situations and the 1002FX does just that. While this type of use doesn't put the preamps or effects under a microscope, i can tell you that the sound quality is great for sound reinforcement. The only thing i find not-so-great is the external power transformer (wall wart) and connector. Same as others, it's heavy, presents problems mounting or using 1002FX out of the rack. The designers did, however, design the transformer box to be separate from the plug so it doesn't crowd the power strip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT SOLUTION FOR MY NEEDS I'VE been looking for a simple mixer for a long time and this fit my need perfectly at a low price. I only needed something where I could mix my singing with an LP or CD and add some echo or reverb and it does it perfectly. I'll only need about one fourth of all the inputs, but this was the simplest alternative. The manual is a bit techy and looses something in the translation from the original German, but an email to their tech department solved my problem with setting it up very easily I'm well pleased and would buy it again if needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic little mixer for the price I purchased this mixer to manage my varied connections from my Mac, my synth, my e-drum, electric guitar/bass and microphones. It works flawlessly, the build is solid, the buttons, knobs and slider also feel solid. I like the 4 stereo inputs, which can also be used in MONO mode and the control/phones out is great for monitoring the mix. There are so many features that's it's impossible to include them all. Safe to say, if you're looking for a small inexpensive versatile mixer look no further. I have only one complaint, the blue power LED is WAY TOO bright. It's so bright I've had to put a piece of electrical tape over it because I could not see the writing on the mixer because I had the light in my eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! For the money, this mixer rocks! Obviously, there are better units available but this mixer sounds great with very little noise for under a hundred bucks. The effects are decent too. It's small enough to mount on a microphone stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value for the size/money I bought this last month and I'm very happy with the product quality and features. I'm using it for home karaoke parties (2 mics, 1 other audio source) and for guitar parties (up to 2 mics, 2 guitars and other audio source like song backtrack). It has great audio quality and ultra low-noise power adapter (with 2 differential power lines for noise suppression). Convenient knobs and LEDs, good DSP/FX quality. The lack of low/mid/high equalizer for the inputs 3-10 is a little disappointment but that's the trade-off for the small unit size. I would like also more different kinds of inputs for a particular channel - like RCA for example, 2x1/4 is not very convenient. But again - the small size can explain this. Another complaint - most effects are ambience based - reverb, delay, echo and almost half of them sound very similar ... Would be happy to see more combinations or voice enhancement effects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME MIXER FOR THE PRICE !!!!! I HAVE BEEN MAKING MUSIC FOR OVER 12 YEARS. I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SMALL AND COMPACT FOR SMALL AND BIG VENUES. I HAVE 24 TRACK MIXER BUT IT IS TO BULKY WHEN YOU ONLY NEED TO USE A FEW CHANNELS. THIS XENYX 1002FX 10 Channel Audio Mixer with Effects IS OUTSTANDING. IT HAS THE POWER AND DURABILITY OF ANYTHING ELSE ON THE MARKET. BEING COMPACT AND HAVING OVER 100 EFFECTS AND THE ABILITY TO USE PHANTOM POWER FOR CONDENSER MICS OR DYNAMIC MICS IS INCREDIBLE FOR THE PRICE. THE SOUND IS COMPLETEY CLEAR WITH NO LOW END NOISE AT ALL. AND EFFECTS ARE FANTASTIC FOR SUCH A OVER ALL COMPACT MIXER. THE ONLY THING THAT MIGHT BE A DISAPPOINTMENT TO SOME PEOPLE IS THE VERY BRIGHT LEAD LIGHT( which can be covered up very easily with a small piece of electrical tape ) AND NO POWER OFF/ON POWER SWITCH. OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD ABSOLULTY RECCOMEND THIS ANY LEVEL MUSICAN. IF YOU PURCHASE THIS YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. ENJOY !!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So-so. Wanted to replace an older version of the XENYX - especially as this version has FX. The goal was to use this mixer for live performance mixing different analog synths into one sound. The FX were clean but metallic and tinny sounding. Not effective for analog sounds. Also, there seems to be far less head room for the channels than the older version. Also, adding the FX required dropping EQ on some of the channels. All in all I prefer the older version. Still I am sure it would be an excellent choice for different circumstances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value Great mixer. The built in effects are nice although the reverb is pretty much all you need. great value for the money. Only two draw backs. 1. there is no power switch, it must be unplugged everytime. 2. the blue power light is way too bright. I put a piece of black electrical tape over it...fixed.
