Lumicon LA3050 overview

  • 1Description

Residual Oil Remover, or simply ROR, establishes a new definition of what a 'clean' surface is. The first application of ROR often results in an amazing 'wow' factor for the user; sometimes it's hard to believe what comes off the surface being cleaned.

ROR has redefined the science of lens-care by utilizing a formula of natural ingredients that eradicates the counterproductive microscopic oil residues from the surface and pores of glass and plastic. On camera lenses, LCD screens, flat-panel TV's, cell-phones, iPods and more - ROR cuts through, breaks down, and allows the removal of all those performance debilitating smudges and smears. Once those oily residues are eliminated, dust, dirt, and pollen particles have nothing to cling to; this enables the sparkling clean surface to remain cleaner for a longer period of time.

ROR has been tested and proven to be safe to use on most delicate and precious surfaces; from multicoated lenses to beryllium-surfaced contacts, ROR has proven itself to be one of the finest and safest lens treatments available.

ROR can be applied with an untreated micro-fiber cloth or untreated disposable wipes. When using a micro-fiber cloth, it is advisable to wash it out regularly in a mild soap solution that is free of additives or softeners. Washing the micro-fiber cloth before using it with ROR ensures a neutral starting point for a successful cleaning session.

The surface to be cleaned must be moistened with ROR prior to wiping; it should be applied to the task-wiper first - not directly on the lens or surface. This prevents pools of liquid from going where it's not supposed to, while conserving the solution. Gently blotting the surface to be cleaned with a moistened cloth or wipe will allow the solution to work into the layers of build-up, facilitating its safe and complete removal. A clean area of the cloth, or a new wipe, should be used for the final cleaning stages.

When cleaning a well-loved lens with ROR for the first time, several applications and wipes may be needed to remove the multi-layer build-up of oils, pollution, and dirt.

Note: Not recommended for use on focusing screens, CCD/CMOS sensors, or internal aliasing filters

Safely cleans lenses, scanners, LCD screens, optics, TVs, iPods, etc

ROR - Residual Oil Remover is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing I bought this based off of the recommendation to use it in combination with Kimwipes. I have many filters and about a half dozen lenses, all of which I assumed to be quite clean. I clean them regularly with dry cloths, and some lens solution when needed. I started cleaning all of my filters first and I was stunned at what was coming off. I proceeded to clean everything I could find. When I cleaned my wifes glasses, she said it's going to take me a minute to get used to this because they were so clear. Do yourself a favor, buy this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used it for years-great stuff! I have used ROR for years. It is great, especially for that last little bit that you just can't seem to get with other fluids. Ever 'cleaned' a lens, and still seen little swirl marks, and no matter what you do, they remain. Just get ROR and those marks will disappear. Not cheap, but a bottle should last a long time-mine is probably 15 years old.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but best to use Eclipse with it I tried this because everyone raves about it. Well, it is good, but not perfect. If you get too much on your lens, it can be tough to remove. Usually, I use Eclipse and Pec Pads to clean my lenses. I tried ROR, and had a hard time getting it off with the Pec Pads. Eclipse easily took it off. But stuff that Eclipse had trouble with, ROR easily removed. So the combination of the two is pretty unbeatable. ROR works best if you spray it on a clean microfiber cloth. Don't bother with Pec Pads, the microfiber cloth is much better. If you have a really dirty filter or lens, and you use too much ROR, just use a little Eclipse to clean it. Now, in all fairness, I might not be using the product the same way everyone else is. I seem to be the only one who doesn't think it is perfect. But i like it and will continue to buy it. For oil, it is the best I've ever used. But the combination of products is far better than either alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best lens cleaner I have EVER used! ROR is amazing. I use it on all of my camera gear and on all of my computer gear too. It is the only cleaner that will remove virtually all of the streaks and dirt on a glossy computer screen. I have about 15 bottles of other brands that just sit on the shelf now. If there is anything better I would love to know about it. A bottle lasts about a year too, so it's not expensive. Great stuff..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Glass cleaner on the market I have used ROR for several years. It does a great job of removing residue as well as function as a general glass/lens cleaner. It does not leave marks or stains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff very effect I've used many lens cleaning solutions over the years, but nothing compares to this product. It does smell and I would use in a ventilated area.
