Well-suited to photographing sunsets and sunrises with flat or well-defined horizon lines, the 130 x 185mm Daryl Benson Reverse Graduated Neutral Density 0.9 Filter from Singh-Ray is a specialized graduated filter for selectively balancing high contrast situations. Compared to a traditional grad ND, this filter's 0.9, 3-stop density is in the center of the filter plane and transitions toward one edge while leaving half of the filter area clear to receive full exposures. This configuration is ideal for sunrises and sunsets where the brightest part of the scene is centrally located and is surrounded by a darker foreground and sky. The filter is constructed from optical resin that is both durable and helps to maintain high clarity, and it is compatible with the Cokin X-Pro filter holder.

Reverse graduated filter places the most density in the middle of the filter and tapers to one edge in order to accommodate bright horizons and other situations where the brightest part of the image lies in the middle of the composition.

Daryl Benson 0.9 Reverse Graduated Neutral Density Filter by Singh-Ray is an amazing filter for balancing the tonality of your scene. It's best used for sunrise or sunset as the sun breaks the horizon. These are very well made, completely neutral color cast, and available in several stops of ight reduction. The only down side it their price. since I could not afford to buy all three filter strengths I chose the three stop (.09) because I can always lighten up the sky in post processing but didn't want to take a change of blown out pixels. I highly recommend these for any landscape photographer! Singh-Ray QUALITY cannot be beat!

I try use it with my cokin x-pro holder didn't fit had to force into the holder, it is not worth the price tag, really bad first impression from singh-ray wouldn't recommended to any one
