Sensei LC-62 overview

  • 1Description

The 62mm Center Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap from Sensei is a front lens cap with a squeeze, spring, and snap-on mechanism. It is easy to put on and take off, especially when using a lens hood, and it stays on. Lens caps protect your lens from scratches, fingerprints, and the elements when the lens is not in use. It's always good to have a spare in your camera bag, too.

    Sensei LC-62 reviews

62mm Center Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Secure Snap Cap I have been shooting professionally for over 40 years, and over the decades the manufacturers have progressed from slip-on lens caps, that also slipped off by themselves, rolled down the street or into the forest to be gone forever. Metal screw caps were secure but took forever to get on and off the lens. Then came spring loaded caps with two little ears. Just gently depress, and the cap came off- slip it on and it locked into the threads at the front of the lens. And whenever something caught those little ears it would pop off. The Sensi lens cap is sensibly designed with spring loaded mechanisms, but with nothing extending beyond the edges of the lens, making release by accident unlikely. To release, press inward with two fingers at the middle of the front of the cap. To attach to the front of your lens, just snap it in place. For added security, you can get a lens cap keeper (an adhesive tip that holds to the lens cap and a harness that loops around the lens) Lens caps with manufacturer names on them are often expensive, but at just a few dollars, this lens cap is a bargain. This is a well made product, sensibly designed at a very reasonable price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but could be better Would be 5 stars except for the following design deficiencies: (1) the 'height' of edge of the flanges on the two spring-loaded moveable parts that are pinched together to release or attach the lens cap need to be extended farther upward (to provide a larger finger grip surface) ... this improvement would make it so much easier to attach and detach to cap and make it less likely to drop it in the dirt, mud or water when doing so; (2) it would be a further improvement to add a small drilled hole to attach a string tether to the cap. Aside from these two needed design fixes, the cap does hold secure in the small number of threads available on the outside of the UV filter that I routinely keep on my camera lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from extremely happy when i got this i was very surprised about how well it was packaged and protected. there was lots of bubblewrap. it is perfect for my camera and it's well worth the money. it's strong and clips on and off very easily. i'm so impressed with this and it's a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement Lens Cap Losing a lens cap is one of life's little nuisances. I needed to replace one and for under five bucks I bought this nice replacement cap. It has a center pinch which makes it easy to use even with the lens hood on. It does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job and cheap I much rather prefer the center pinch lens caps. Easier to remove and place on the lens, especially with a hood mounted. Quality is good, and it's much cheaper than Canon's equivalent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy more than one. Lens caps always get lost in my bag. My solution was to buy more than one. The quality is on par with what came with your lenses originally. Fantastic bang for the buck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Works great as a replacement for the original lens cap which was lost on a recent vacation.
