The 77mm Center Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap from Sensei is a front lens cap with a squeeze, spring, and snap-on mechanism. It is easy to put on and take off, especially when using a lens hood, and it stays on. Lens caps protect your lens from scratches, fingerprints, and the elements when the lens is not in use. It's always good to have a spare in your camera bag, too.

77mm Center Pinch Snap-On Lens Cap is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 245.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior to brand-name! I purchased this as a replacement for my rather flimsy brand-name lens cap. The aforementioned cap was dropped onto the ground from a height of about 2 ft and one of the springs came out while a plastic catch was broken. The Sensei cap is clearly a beefed-up version with redundancies built in to prevent what happened to my former cap. Pro: Although a cheap price, this is not a cheap knock-off! I purchased three more of these for my other lenses. Good looking, too. Con: With quality like this, I think I would prefer Sensei splash their name across the front! I would have no problem advertising for them for free.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Build Quality It works fine as a lens cap for most purposes, but I had two issues: 1. This will not stay on a low profile filter. The lip of the cap extends beyond the pinch elements just enough that it bottoms out in the filter before they can engage the rim of the filter. 2. The plastic tabs holding the whole thing together are extremely flimsy. While I was trying to get the cap to stay on the low profile filter, one of the pinch elements popped over the filter rim and flew across the room and took the spring with it. I never found the spring, and now the cap is useless. I have not had either of these issues with similar OEM lens caps, but you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update to my review After doing a side by side with a Sigma cap, I found why the Sigma cap was so difficult to attach, and why the Sensei was so much easier to attach. The image below shows the Sensei on the left and the Sigma on the right. The Sensei has a larger area that clips into the lens vs the small area of the Sigma lens cap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A serious flaw if using with wide-angles I was really looking forward to the center pinch caps, especially for use with lens hoods. However, I was bummed when I realized that the underside of this product isn't hollow, or countersunk at all. As a result, if the front element of your lens protudes into the thread region of the lens (like the canon 17-40), this cap will rub against the element. Alternatively, the center-pinch standard lens cap with the Canon 70-300 has a hollow underside which would not press against the glass (not that it's much of an issue with that particular lens). I hope that is clear - a little difficult to describe, but just be careful when you put these on - make sure the underside isn't rubbing against your glass! Kind of a bummer, but not a must-have accessory

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits perfectly and snug Replaced original lens cap twice with Sigma, which was always a tough fit and fell off. This replacement is made better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems like a silly thing to rate - OTOH Fit well and won't fall of like it's predecessor. I wasn't expecting much but when I put it on I was surprised at the quality. Well worth the money. I'm considering purchasing replacements for my other caps. If they're all as solid as this one I won't be dissapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement Replaced a Nikon 77mm cap that was lost during shoot. Turned out to be a better fit than the cap that Nikon provided.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product The quality of this lens cap is excellent, fits very good on both the lens or on the filter installed on the lens.
