This pair of large black Women's Stretch Thinsulate Gloves from Freehands are designed to be used when photographing outdoors in cold weather. The gloves have a waterproof and windproof backing and are lined with Thinsulate to keep you warm in the winter while being lightweight enough to wear in milder weather.

When photographing in cold weather you can open the finger tips so that you can more easily access small buttons on your camera, which might be difficult to access if you were wearing normal gloves. When you need to access buttons on your camera, simply pull back the thumb and forefinger tips of the gloves to reveal your fingers. The tips are secured in place by magnets until you are ready to cover your fingers again. The palm patch features a silicon grip to prevent your camera from slipping. The gloves are designed to fit snugly so you can hold and operate your camera easily. For a looser fit, order the next size up.

Women's Stretch Thinsulate Gloves (Large, Black) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves, needed larger size I have tried various strategies for keeping my hands warm while shooting in the cold: everything from knit gloves (so they aren't bulky), to fingerless gloves so I don't lose dexterity in handling the camera. Anything that kept my hand sufficiently warm left me with difficulties manipulating camera buttons. Anything that allowed me freedom to use the camera left my hands cold. These gloves truly do give the best of both worlds. I especially like that only one thumb and finger tip are exposed to the air, keeping the rest of my hands warm. It's incredibly easy to flip the glove tips out of the way when I need to shoot, so I can wait until right before the shot to do it, so I no longer have to have my fingers exposed to the cold just in case. The magnets that hold the finger tips out of the way are placed well, so they pretty much do the grabbing for you. I had to return the women's large size and order the men's medium instead, due to fit. I don't fault the gloves for that, though. My hands are on the large size, so it was not totally unexpected. By checking the website for the manufacturer I discovered that one size up from women's large is men's medium. They are a little wider, with slightly longer fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I bought these for shooting outdoors in the cold & wind. They fit snug as described, which is exactly what I was looking for while carrying my gear. The magnetic fingertips are awesome for fiddling with the dials on the camera, and the palm had a gripping patch that was useful as I maneuvered around the site where I was shooting. They were not extremely thick, so I may invest in a thicker insulation type for trips to extremely cold climates. However, I will probably order an additional pair to use for just go to gloves. Seem to be quality made

Rated 2 out of 5 by from important fingers not warm enough not bad, but made for warmer climates, when you might be better off with warm fingerless gloves anyway. even with finger bits closed (and they do close well, magnets are great) the material on those sections are thinner than the rest. so they get too cold, mine went numb, thus too cold to text, so not too useful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't run large! I went by previous reviews and ordered a size up (large) and ended up exchanging them for a medium, which fit perfectly. My hands are about average in size, so I would order your regular size. B&H was great about the exchange. Seemed to happen almost overnight with no extra shipping charges except I had to pay return shipping. The quality of the gloves is good, but I'm not sure I'd say great, but they are nice and warm, and comfortable to wear. I love the flip back thumb & index finger for camera use. That works perfectly. Overall pleased, especially for the discounted price! Very pleased with B&H.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizes run small ... I used the size chart to measure my hands and bought the women's large gloves. They fit across the knuckles ok but the length of the fingers and palm is short which means the elasticised stitching lands up on the base of your palm not on your wrist as you would expect. Apart from that the flip open fingers are good and magnets work well. However because the fingers are short the magnet insert rubs on your knuckle as it doesn't sit between your joints. Apart from that they feel warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves, would buy again! Great gloves! I'd never tried fingertip gloves before, but these are very nice! I do recommend going to the Freehands website and checking the sizing chart prior to ordering. Would have been nice if B&H had the sizing info for men and women or even a link to the manufacturer's page. I live in VA and used them two weekends ago photographing some landscape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Run Small The design of these gloves is fine and they are certainly warmer than any alternative I have found! Unfortunately, B&H only gives a sizing chart for the men's gloves and not the women's(!?!) I usually wear a women's large so I decided to chance it and they were too tight. I exchanged for a men's medium, which was well within my hand measurement on the men's sizing chart and they were still snug but a little bigger. Overall, a good idea and a good glove but they do run small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would purchase again Love this gloves. I recently went on a photo tour where we were outside most of the day. It was cold and windy, but I was able to keep my hands warm and able to still take pictures. I ordered a large based on previous reviews from other people. My hands are not that big, but I found these gloves to be a little on the snug size. If I were to purchase them again, I would try the Men's small, that might give you a bit more room. Still worked, but a little snug.
