Made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with an anodized finish, the body has a slip-resistant rubber collar, and an innovative retractable eyecup that pops up when you need it and drops down when you don't with a simple twist.

What can you say about this lens for price point it simply does not get better. I live in the New Zealand out on farm with no light pollution this lens blows my mind!!!!

I purchased this eyepiece as a standard 2 inch ocular for my 9 1/4 inch Celestron HD telescope. It is a wonder to look through and never fails to generate exclamations from guests who have their first glimpse through the telescope. The view of M 13 through the C 9.25 HD at 105x is absolutely breathtaking; the whole cluster is resolved into pinpoint stars. This is the perfect standard eyepiece for this telescope. There is only one drawback: It weighs about a pound so take this into consideration before you buy it.

The Celestron Luminos 23mm Eyepiece (2") has an eye relief of 20mm, so it is good for use with eyeglasses. In general, 16mm or more of eye relief is needed for eyeglasses.
