Sensei LHSC-67 overview

  • 1Description

The 67mm Screw-on Tulip Lens Hood from Sensei mounts onto your camera lens to prevent glare and lens flare by blocking out stray light. The lens hood also adds shock absorption to help protect your lens from impact damage. It easily screws onto any lens with a 67mm diameter and includes a locking collar for consistent positioning. As this lens hood can be used with lenses of varying focal lengths, its tulip shape is designed to prevent vignetting while still blocking unwanted light from entering your lens. The hood is ideal for full-frame lenses with focal lengths longer than 20mm, and APS-C lenses with focal lengths longer than 15mm.

67mm Screw-on Tulip Lens Hood is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality decent Quality seems pretty decent on these things. The problem is it screws on so you can't use screw-on filters and you can't flip it around for storage. Better than nothing if you have nothing else, but I would get ones that allow you to use filters as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Happy! Would not screw on to lens. Cheap plastic that was slightly warped. Waste of money. Not the quality that I expect from B&H.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Serviceable Screw-on Tulip Lens Hood This product was sent to me as a replacement for an OEM part and it is just ok. The screw on design with a smooth inner lip makes it difficult to use a lens cap when the hood is attached. A snap on cap will stay in place but it is not a very firm attachment. Also, with the screw on design, it is not reversible meaning that you have to remove it before placing your camera in your bag/case. It can be a bit cumbersome having to screw and unscrew the hood for transport if you do a lot of outdoor photography.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Lens Hood Not great quality but its durable enough for my everyday needs. Also the screw-on feature is annoying when putting on filters but I don't use filters too often so its gets the job done and its really cheap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Does The Job This hood is well mad. Almost. 90% good, good materials, solid build and design. The adjustment ring does its job of being able to screw the hood on and have it align properly. The bad 10%? The threads are just a little loose on my camera, not an exact match and if screwed on to tight it jumps the threads. But this is does not keep me from using it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor substitute for Native Hood I am using as a substitute for a native hood. It attaches to filter threads, so if using a polarizer it is very difficult to get both in the proper position. But if a native hood is not available it can be made to work. it is less of an issue if polarizers are not used. 2 starrs with polarizer; 4 without.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from fit on 18/200 hasselblad This hood was sent to me as a replacement for the Hassy named Sony SEL 18/200 which was missing a hood. The hood uses filter threads rather than the hood threads and so lens cover is unusable. B&H promptly sent the hood for free but it wasn't practical for everyday use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good lens hood A few comments talked about it being in the frame when shooting video. I haven't noticed it even when zoomed all the way out. It is a little bulk, but solid construction and does the job well.
