Speed Ring for Profoto is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality These rings are of very high quality: I recommend that you consider them as an alternative to the Profoto and Chimera rings. It use to be that third party photo products were inferrer to brand names. But I have seen a steady improvement in quality and design from third party vendors in recent years. As a college educated full-time NYC photographer for 40 years I can attest that they perform equally to the more expensive speed rings. They work with chimera, profoto and impact soft boxes. *Also check out the newer Impact Duo soft boxes; Decent products at a very palatable price, I have been replacing my older worn-out high-end boxes with the impact line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome find! I was looking for something like this for a while. I purchased a Profoto B1 kit from B and H last year to replace my old Calumet strobes I had for a long time. This impact speed ring will make it possible for me to use all my Calumet soft boxes and beauty dish I have collected over the years. Only thing I had to do is drill the holes slightly bigger so the rods fit in the holes. I'm an happy camper now. This will save me a bunch. Now I don't have to buy more new stuff.??. Thank you B&H for always having great stuff.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Opening not circular, didn't fit light These speed rings have asymmetrical metal holes, making it impossible to fully slide on to Profoto heads. I'm sure that due to copy-to-copy variation, some may be okay, but all three of mine were visibly misshapen and did not fit. Ended up having to order the Profoto branded ones for double the price but I guess you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speed Ring i use it on a Impact 60 Octagonal Softbox, it works well on a Profoto D1, stays on , good fit, good construction. If price is important, this is a very good alternative to the Profoto one. I've used it on the 60 on a mini boom point downwards for days, and it didn't budge, didn't fell weak, and it rotates when you need it to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functions as required by quality is not up to Profoto Rubber seal is not as secure as profoto. Difficult to read the the marking/impressions on the ring that indicate which area to install the rods. Should/Could have been color coded. For the price, it is still a good value and I would buy this ring again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No need to pay more... This gets the job done... It may not look as pretty as the official profoto speedring but it does it's job just as well. The connection is snug. Have not had any issues. Solid constrution. Happy with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for studio work, not so great for location shoots. Works well, but the neck of this speedring is too long. Since I do all my shoots on location I would prefer more compact design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will buy again Compared this right next to Profotos speedring and it felt just as well made. Worth saving the money to buy this product
