Compact AC/DC Charger for BLN-1 Battery is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I've owned a few of these back when they were the Pearstone brand. I never had any issues with those. The batteries always fit correctly and the build was decent. However, this model has some issues. Mine arrived with a part rattling around inside. Okay. It can happen. The main problem is how the battery seats in the holder. It's a VERY tight fit, and never seemed quite right despite a lot of fiddling. My concerns were validated when the battery didn't actually charge. I'll add this is with original Olympus BLN-1 batteries. I'll stick with my Olympus charger and 90 degree plug (replaces the cord).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact multi-use charger Recently purchased an Olympus OM-D EM5 MkII. The Olympus charger is okay but requires a heavy cord and when traveling takes up space. The Watson charger plugs directly into an outlet and is compact. It also came with a car charger adapter which is great when traveling around for the day and keeping extra batteries charged.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inadequate Charger I bought this because the form factor (long useless cord) for the Olympus charger was so bad. While B&H lists it, I did not realize that its output voltage, 8.4 volts, was less than the Olympus chargers 8.7 volts (not listed where that charger can be separately ordered). I put one of my BLN-1 Olympus batteries on the Watson and charged it overnight. In the morning the light indicated it was done. Uncertain about the voltage difference, I immediately placed the charged battery into the Olympus charger. It took 65 more minutes until the charge light went off. The stated charging time for the Olympus charger is 3 hours. Does this mean that the Watson only charged my battery 2/3 of the way? The build quality of the Watson seems pretty cheap. It appears to me the two small tabs that hold the battery in would soon break under continuous use. It won't get that use from me because I don't think it does its job of completely charging my batteries. I'll just have to haul that ridiculous cord around with my Olympus charger, I guess.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, is cheaper; but tight fit I purchased this as an alternative to the corded Olympus charger that came with my OM-D EM-1. Why Olympus put a cord on their charger I will never know and it's one of the few design decisions that makes no sense to me. The Pros: The Watson charger is an inexpensive alternative to the Olympus charger, it works, travels easy and comes with options that are quite useful:comes with a car charger, stops charging when the battery reaches full charge, and; it's interchangeable in that it charges Olympus and Watson batteries ( some you can only use with the batteries they sell). The Cons: it is a really tight fit to get the Olympus battery into the charger, once it's in it's fine and getting it out hasn't been too difficult but wow, it's a tight fit. Now it could just be me; but I've tried it three times and it's been tight each time. Other than that the plastic is fairly light weight so I doubt it will take much in the way of abuse; hence, the four stars. On the other hand it cost a heck of a lot less. Hope that helps, happy shooting! ciao mare

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Now comes with a car adaptor for charging on the road. Bonus! This charges Olympus camera batteries for me & Watson ones too. Fast & works well. Only small criticism is you need to make sure of connection. The color LED needs to be RED to ensure you are charging. Its not a perfect connection & depends a bit on how you insert the battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Convenient Charger - It Just Works This is a reasonably priced charger that can be used with multiple still and video cameras by simply changing the low cost adapter plates. This is a great convenience when travelling. Plus it comes with a European plug adapter and an auto adapter. It even has an USB outlet. The construction seems a little lightweight but I have to give this item five stars due to its versatility and convenience. It is amazing that no one has thought of this sooner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Charger, changing of plates is a must! Mostly when working outdoors or travelling. A great idea: changing plates allow to bring only one charger plus plates for all your stuff. Have at least 2 plates for each of my cameras, Great project and very well made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good To Have! I bought this for travel because the standard changer/cord are large and bulky--fine for home use only. Time will tell if the Watson will hold up, but it is certainly more packable. The changeable battery plate is a clever design as it allows you to use it with different cameras and their different batteries. You can also charge an e-reader or i-pod while the battery is being charged by inserting the cord into the dedicated opening.
