Can this tank also be used with the 35mm/120 reeks? This looks like same tank that holds 3 of them in 35mm or two of them set for 120. Is this true? Thank you!!
Asked by: Kelly
The tank included with the Paterson Super System 4 Multi Reel 3 Developing Tank with 4 x 5" Sheet Film Holder Kit could also hold three 35mm reels or two 120 reels.

My developer is only 700ml , can I develop 4x5 sheets using the Inversion method? Or the developer should be full quart 946ml?? I'm using Cs41 with this paterson tank and the reel?

If the photos mean anything to you I would acquire the proper volume of developer, the risk of inconsistent developing is very high is you're using a lower volume

question

Does the Mod54 work with 4x5 paper or strictly for sheet film? anyone had any success/failure using paper?
Asked by: Omar Z.
I don't see why it wouldn't work. The Mod45 is merely to hold the film (or paper in your case) in place so that it gets even development. As long as the paper is rigid enough to stay in the slots without falling out due to being too wet, then it should be fine. I think it would be ok with both RC and Fibre paper, but not sure of direct positive paper (not sure if it's thinner/less rigid or not... especially when it's submerged in liquid).

question

Right now I use the two 35mm reel system. The funnel locks into the spindle so that the whole rig is light tight. I'm starting to shoot 4x5 and it doesn't look like the Mod54 comes with a solid spindle so does this mean you have to change chemicals in the dark?
Asked by: Kirk L.
The Mod54 fits the spindle in the tank, which you apparently already have, and is light tight when used with the spindle.

question

Does anyone know if this can be used with 2.25x3.25 sheet film? I have several 35mm, medium format, and one camera that takes the 2.25x3.25 sheet film and am trying to find the simplist way to develop all three types of film with the least amount of equipment.

question

How much chemistry does it take to develop 6 films 4x5? Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
I use 1000 ml or 1 litre of each chemistry regardless of whether it is one sheet or 6 sheets of 4x5 film. If the developer is to be used multiple times than four 4x5 sheets at a time typically makes it easier to figure out the development time for each successive batch of 4x5 film.
