Rising RPSS001 overview

  • 1Description

Allowing you to produce unique, creative long exposures, this Standard Pinhole from Rising is compatible with Sony E mount mirrorless cameras. The pinhole features a narrow f/82 aperture, 76° angle of view, 18mm focal length, and aluminum alloy construction for durability as well as high image sharpness. Inherent to pinholes, the design also produces nearly infinite depth of field and the long exposure times required during shooting are ideal for blurring motion.

Standard Pinhole for Sony E Mount is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent match Pinhole+Sony A7S Works excellent, I use it with the Sony A7S, rev up the ISO and I can take pin hole pictures hand held, it's creasy! I've never imagined taking this kind of pictures without a tripod. So it opens a hole new possibilities for pinhole photography.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not sharp but a dreamy compact I use it for video and some stills. Yes it is not sharp but that is what you want, a compact lens with dreamy qualities. I love this instead of a body cap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Old-Timey Look This works really well for achieving an aged look - kind of like photography from a very old era. Of course, depending on your subject matter, this can also be quite arresting for more modern images. The main thing - due to its smaller than small aperture you'll need plenty of light. A fun lens to experiment with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dark Spots over all photos No matter how much cleaning I do on this pinhole camera, I get the same exact dark spots over every photo. Same pattern everytime. I can only assume this is a machining error? But I honestly have no idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun product, solid price For its price, it does as you expect. The only difficulty is making sure your firmware is up to date (I have an a6000) so you can do bulb control shutter release. It's also useful as a body cap if you bought a kit or don't have one already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What A Hoot! I made film pinhole cameras in my youth and this simulates the experience exactly. Love it! Can't wait to try some B/W video.
