The Sigma USB Dock allows you to connect your Sigma Global Vision lenses to your computer in order to update firmware and adjust focus setting parameters using the Sigma Optimization Pro software.

This dock is only compatible with the Sigma Art, Contemporary, and Sports line lenses featuring a Nikon F lens mount.

Sigma Optimization Pro
Once a Sigma Art, Contemporary, or Sports line lens is connected, you can use the Sigma Optimization Pro software to configure focus settings and update lens firmware.
Focus Settings
For all lines of lenses, there are four categories for prime lenses and 16 categories (four options for focal length, four options for shooting distance) for zoom lenses available. These categories allow you to set certain focusing settings to better suit your personal shooting style.
Sports Line-Specific Settings
If using a Sports line lens, additional lens configurations are available: three different AF speed modes to modify how quickly the lens changes focus; the ability to constrain focus distances within a specific range to suit your personal shooting habits; and three Optical Stabilizer modes to suit the manner in which you are shooting.

Useful tool to be able to upload the latest firmware to the 150-600MM lens I bought. As always, the service from B&H was world class. It arrived on time, professionally packaged as have every package I have purchased in the last 15 years. My first choice always for new and used gear.

It works for me

I wanted to check firmware updates and My lens was up today already. I have not messed with lens calibrations as of now so I can't speak on that but I see no reason that it would not work.

This dock was very straight forward and easy to use and i like that it is compatible with other sigma brand lenses. As a techie i love the idea of being able to tweak aspects of the lens itself and updating the firmware was super easy.

Must Have for Use for my Sigma 150-600mm Lens

Right out of the box the Sigma 150-1600MM f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM lens image quality wasn't that great. After watching some review videos, I expected this, which is why I purchased a Sigma USB Dock along with the Sigma 150-1600MM Contemporary lens. Following the instructions I found for better images, the dock allowed me to make configurations of my Sigma lens. I had to use the dock to make adjustments to some of the focal lengths because my Nikon D3500 doesn't have the in-camera options to do the changes necessary. If you have a camera that is not capable of making the appropriate adjustments for proper focal length clear imagery, get the Sigma USB Dock. It helps!

I've been shooting since Nikon released the original FM, and this is the first time I've encountered the option to connect a lens, to update the firmware *and* to tweak the focus, if need be. Beam me up, Scotty!

question

I understand this doesn't work with all sigma lenses and only the art, contemp, and sport lenses. However, is it able to check and update firmware for the 8-16mm, or the 17-50mm? And if not, will Sigma make a USB dock that will update lens' firmware?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, the Sigma USB Dock for Nikon Lenses is only compatible with the Art 35mm f/1.4, Contemporary 17-70mm f/2.8-4 OS and non OS HSM, and Sports 120-300mm f/2.8 lenses. We have not received any information from Sigma regarding a USB dock that will update other lens firmware, but should this product become available, we will notify customers on our website.

question

I have the Sigma 18-35mm art lens and a Nikon D5200, so just checking that this is the dock I would need to purchase for that setup. I almost ordered the USB Dock for Sigma Lenses by Sigma since it's a Sigma lens, but then saw this option, which I'm assuming would be correct if it's based on mounting the Sigma lens to a Nikon body. So, as I said, just wanted to be sure I'm ordering the correct dock for my setup. Thanks.

Yes, that is the correct dock. You do not want the one for Sigma lenses. You want the one for Nikon lenses.

question

Is dock compatible with Sigma DG 120-400 HSM and Sigma EX 105DG HSM lenses for updates?

Unfortunately no, the 120-400 lens pre-dates the USB dock. So far the USB dock only works with the lenses listed at this link:http://bit.ly/1jkZiED
