Adjust and update select Sigma L-mount lenses, teleconverters, and mount converters with the UD-11 USB Dock. Used in conjunction with Sigma's Optimization Pro software, this useful accessory can be used to update lens firmware as well as adjust the amount of focus movement and MF timing when operating the focus ring.

Best method for updating Sigma lens firmware

Sigma's UD-11 USB Dock is a high quality, inexpensive device that can be used to update a Sigma lens' firmware, and make various adjustments to lens performance. Check the Sigma accessories web site for a full description of the Dock's uses. For firmware updates, there is no need to download firmware from the Sigma web site onto your computer, transfer the firmware to an SD card, and then run the update through the camera. Instead, you download a simple Sigma software program called Sigma Optimization Pro to your computer, attach the lens directly to the UD-11 Dock, and the most current firmware automatically updates the lens. Very fast and easy. In my case, I use Sigma I series, Contemporary DG DN prime lenses on a Leica SL3.

For B&H - Wanted to get this for sometime and B&H had in stock. Order quick and delivery as scheduled. For Sigma - The dock is well built; only wish the cable was C-C instead of A-C - as for rest - just received the order so will go home and try next and post additional content if needed.

Will this allow changing the non-linear manual ...

Will this allow changing the non-linear manual focus to linear (on L-mount lenses)? And can I also change the focus throw to let's say 270 degrees?

No, one cannot change the linear / non-linear focus settings via the Sigma UD-11 USB Dock for Leica L. From the menu of the L-Mount camera body you can switch between linear and non-linear focusing and set the focus ring rotation angle when linear. This is only with compatible cameras and lenses. To insure compatibility, make sure both camera and lens have the latest firmware installed. Sigma has a list of compatible lenses along with the range of angle of rotation that is possible. One would also need to check whether the specific camera one wants to use supports this.

Will this dock add value to the Sigma 150-600 ...

Will this dock add value to the Sigma 150-600 f5-6.3 ? I am using the lens on a Leica SL2.

I am assuming you are using this new version: Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens for Leica L. That lens does not have a firmware update yet. Once a firmware update is available you can use the Sigma UD-11 USB Dock for Leica L to update the firmware.
